Creating your account and confirming your email

Varuno accounts use an email address and password. A verified email is mandatory — you cannot enter the app until your address is confirmed. Your account exists to prove who you are and to key your encrypted data to you; it does not store your finances. Only your name, email, country and base currency are kept with the account.

Creating an account

  1. On first launch, choose Create account.
  2. Enter your email address and a password.
  3. Varuno sends a verification email and waits on an “awaiting verification” screen.

Confirming your email

Open the verification email on the same phone that has Varuno installed and tap the link. The link opens Varuno directly (via the app’s com.varmanlabs.varuno://auth-callback deep link) and completes your session.

  • The link opens a browser error, or nothing happens. This usually means the link was opened on a different device, or the app build is out of date. Open the email on the phone with Varuno installed and try again, or resend the verification email from the app.
  • It still fails on the right device. Contact support and include your app version and email provider. Never include your password.

After confirming

Sign in with your email and password. Varuno opens your encrypted vault and takes you through a short onboarding — see Signing in and the encrypted vault.

There is no social login, and support will never ask for your password or a verification code.
