Which devices and platforms are supported
Today
Varuno runs on iPhone with iOS 15.5 or later, distributed through TestFlight internal testing. It is not yet on the public App Store.
Not available
- Android — the codebase is configured for Android, but no Android build has ever been produced or tested on a device. We would rather say “iOS only for now” than promise a date we cannot support.
- Web — deliberately deferred. The database encryption Varuno relies on is not available in the browser, and shipping a web version without it would quietly break the app’s central privacy promise. If you ever encounter something that looks like a Varuno web app, it is not a supported product.
- iPad-specific and Mac versions — not currently offered.
Regions
Varuno works anywhere: entry is manual and any ISO currency is supported via exchange rates. The retirement features are meaningful in the five countries whose schemes are modelled — Singapore (CPF), Malaysia (EPF), Australia (Superannuation), Hong Kong (MPF) and New Zealand (KiwiSaver). The strongest fit today is Singapore-based salaried users, with SGD as the default base currency.
Offline use
Day-to-day, Varuno works offline — your data is on the device. You need a connection to create an account, sign in, confirm your email, reset a password and refresh exchange rates.
