Hiding your balances
Sometimes you want to open Varuno in public — on a train, in a meeting — without your net worth on display.
How to hide balances
Tap the eye icon in the dashboard header. The same toggle is also available in Settings.
What it does
- Masks every monetary amount across the whole app — dashboards, wallets, history, insights.
- Also masks percentages derived from amounts, so a budget “83% used” cannot leak the underlying number.
- Stays on until you turn it off; it is a persistent setting, not a temporary peek.
What it is not
Hiding balances is a screen-privacy feature, not a security control. It does not lock the app or encrypt anything extra — for that, see Face ID and passcode lock. The two work well together: lock the app when it is closed, hide balances when someone might glance at your screen while it is open.
